ChesterI was looking to arrange something for my friend’s 30th birthday celebrations. We didn’t want to drive too far for just a night’s stay, so decided to look at what was available in Chester. We managed to book a city centre apartment which was in a fantastic location as all the clubs and bars/ restaurants where on our doorstep. I booked through booking.com. We stayed at the WhiteGates Apartment in feathers lane. We used booking.com as our booking agent as we never seem to have any issues using this provider.

The cost was £220 for the Friday night for 4 people. This included a cleaning fee.

The apartment was up a narrow set of steps, which could be a problem for people with limited mobility. The location was perfect, above a quaint little cafe/coffee shop, so we were able to get breakfast in the morning without having to venture out.

The apartment is set 550 yards from Chester Racecourse and 2.7 miles from Chester Zoo and has free WiFi. The place itself is enormous and has 3 double bedrooms with a big living area and a kitchen and dining area, which is very clean and tastefully decorated.

The kitchen features an oven and a microwave, as well as a kettle. A flat-screen TV and DVD player are provided. There is also a private bathroom with a shower.

Chester Castle is 450 yards away and Liverpool John Lennon Airport is only 25 miles away.

For going shopping, eating, drinking or sight seeing this accommodation was perfect! We will be booking again near December so we can do some Christmas shopping. There is a car park within 5 minutes from the apartment which costs around £10 for 24 hours. The beauty of this apartment meant we didn’t need to pay for taxis as we were in a stone’s throw from all the trendy restaurants and cocktail bars.
